Recovery week, so a slightly lower target. I have tweaked it now with Rye 10 on Friday. Hopefully the wind will be kind as that’s a good opportunity as it’s pretty flat along there. It means we don’t need to do efforts or a long run this week but work hard on Friday and it makes nearly 50% of the pts you need this week. Good luck. Smash it.

Zone 2

The biggest mistake we can make with these recovery runs is running too fast. This will mean when our harder sessions come round we are still fatigued and not able to put enough effort in to make the necessary gains.

This was a HOT run. Had to walk at one point just to cool off a little bit. But overall good pace and stamina for an easy run
Awesome work Lucy. It is scorchio right now. Definitely taking it’s toll on the team, but slowing down is the best approach to ensure we get the mins in.

No worries, that’s fine. Hope you enjoyed the class and great work Lucy

Control what you can. The warm up, strides, getting the early pace right and staying positive when it gets tough. You got this!!

Really good but really hard race. It was really hot for the first half going out and the wind was really strong on the way back – the wind reminded me of Lydd. I did have to take a few walking breaks (I probably could have continued, but its still that mind over matter thing). But I felt I held a good pace mostly and very happy with my time
Possibly the hardest conditions we encountered as it’s challenging in both directions and no real respite. With that in mind a very good time and every reason to be happy. Great work Lucy

If you have accurate heart rate data that is far and away the best guide for this run. Stay in Zone 2 if you can.

This was a tricky one, I got up late so went out without having breakfast and it was really hot so struggled
Sorry to hear that. I know the heat has beat up a few people this week, but glad you were able to get it done. Top work Lucy
