Sometimes runners have made the mistake of thinking, ah Bewl, it’s only a few miles longer than a half marathon. True but when you factor in the trails, the inevitable heat and the hills at the end, it’s tougher than a half and running around Zone 3 pace is smart here. Tuesday is the team session, Wednesday with Horntye, I think the 2nd group for you is a best option and 1 gym session are enough to hit the target. Keep up the great work Karl.

Maintaining your current 5k pace will get progressively more challenging as a session unfolds. So breaking it down in this nature should allow you to maintain that pace for the whole session.
Decent session this!! A good all round workout, working all the key muscle group and the fundamental movement patterns.
8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)

A chance to really focus on exaggerating perfect running form. Best done before a session or after an easy run. Not a sprint. CLICK HERE for more details.
Likely your heart rate will climb as you run up the hills, so don’t worry too much about drifting into Zone 3 for the hills, try and keep the rest in Zone 2.
This is likely to be Bewl 15 as it’s the only 15 mile race I know of. Marathon pace is a good target here as the trails and likely warm conditions will slow you down a fraction, not to mention the hills late on.
