Back to track Monday. I won’t be there sadly having race Sunday. Speaking of Sunday races. The Heathfield 10k this weekend. Have you entered. A good one to pick up some valuable points. A good opportunity to practice your half marathon goal pace during a midweek tempo run. Factor in hills and weather, which may effect pace, in which case nail the right RPE.

Yes as you can see I ran around the park , gradually pick up the pass , a bit windy , no niggles.
Great work Allan, good idea to head to the park when the wind is a factor. Decent session that.

Long runs are key. Fuel and hydrate well & join a group if you can.

Ran along the shore from Hove to Brighton , it said the wind was 7 mph no way at least 15 it made my eyes water at times , all went well , you can tell when I ran into the wind as my pace dropped , my heart rate kept the same which is a good sign . No niggles
Yes a very nice heart rate throughout. I like that. Good to drop the pace into the wind otherwise you’ll just end up working too hard and these runs are meant to be comfortable. Well done though Allan. An excellent run.

If some of the sets/reps are too demanding at first, just do what you can, you can always build up to 60s slowly. Wall sits and planks in particular can be tough, so just go to the point you feel you need to stop and repeat that time, even if it’s only 20s.

The biggest mistake we can make with these recovery runs is running too fast. This will mean when our harder sessions come round we are still fatigued and not able to put enough effort in to make the necessary gains.

Did run a park run with Hannah just missed her BP by 27 seconds not bad with the strong wing

Keep this nice and easy. Focus on good form & efficient running economy. RPE should be around the 3/10 which means you can run and chat.

Yes all went well , a shade quicker then my easy runs of late , heart rate increase a bit as you would expect , no niggles , i will at the track jogging around , a rest day Tuesday the a quick run Wednesday as per schedule ok, please with my runs 6 out of the last 8 , I will go back to the schedule
Great work Allan. We might need to tweak this week if only doing an easy jog Monday but we can sort that afterwards. A strong week hitting your targets.
