Starting off with a fairly big week. We’ve had a couple of 80 pointers on the spin, so this is a little jump up. See how it goes, there’s scope to ditch the extra home S&C at first, especially if you get some skipping in. In terms of skipping, I’d be inclined to try and do that at home at this time of year if possible. Just if you get a spare 10 mins, pop in the garden and get it done. That way when you go the gym you’ll have more time for the exercises and stairs (the stair climber that is, I’m not suggesting you need more time to get up the stairs to the 1st floor). Any questions let me know. Tuesday, early pace is everything and have that awareness that everyone else around you is likely to go off too fast, let them, stick to your 5k pace and trust it will get you to the finish line in a good time.

Recoveries: Take 2-3 mins after the 8 min rep and 60s in between the 60 second reps.

A tough 5k session and the challenge is to see if you can hold your 5k pace in the 2nd 8 min rep when the legs are tired and you’re feeling fatigued.

Well that was like running in a hot box! With mosquitoes! 🦟. When conditions are bad it does make you feel extra hardcore! Effort around a 7 for this. Used Sue w as a marker and the lady with short hair and blue top. Felt ok.
Great work Shana. I think that’s a good point to take away from that is where out there working hard in tough conditions. And hell yeah that makes us more hardcore for sure. Pace will always be a little slower, with the heat and the trails, but overall a really good session, so be super pleased with that.

If you have accurate heart rate data that is far and away the best guide for this run. Stay in Zone 2 if you can.

Too too hot! 🥵 club run cancelled and no ooomph left! Afternoon I was hotter! Had a cold bath which was horrible! Decided everyone was annoying me! Nil points! Disappointed.
Not the kind of data I was expecting for the new stats, but it’s made me laugh. I’ve tweaked Saturday. It’s supposed to be a bit cooler and if we get that done we still hit the target for the week, so a chance to make up for this. Let me know if you are ok doing that?

Zone 2: Easy

A great form of cross trainer for us runners. Keep that heart rate in Zone 2. You might feel like RPE is higher, as it’s a tough exercise, but a good opportunity to really improve your aerobic engine without the heavy impact of running.
