80 Mins Run
Zone 2: Easy
Try and keep it easy. It all depends on your current level. If slowly adding time to your long run the last 10-20 mins might be tough. Focus on good form.
Big day Sunday!! Bring it on. If you can move your 50 mins Saturday to Thursday (seem to remember you saying Thursdays were busy?) that would give the legs a chance to be fresher. I’ve switched up Tuesday too to give you a threshold session rather than a more intense efforts. I think that is more beneficial for you based on what you are training for. Any issues let me know. But keep smashing it out of the park Joe. And of course if you want to talk pacing about Sunday drop me a DM.

A stretching routine you can do daily to help with your flexibility. 30 seconds for each stretch is plenty.
It’s important to keep the easy runs easy. Focus on good running form and low heart rate.
Crammed a bit more into 1 session here but now you’ve got a lot of good stuff in there. Hopefully it’s ok?
A great form of cross trainer for us runners. Keep that heart rate in Zone 2. You might feel like RPE is higher, as it’s a tough exercise, but a good opportunity to really improve your aerobic engine without the heavy impact of running.

The biggest mistake we can make with these recovery runs is running too fast. This will mean when our harder sessions come round we are still fatigued and not able to put enough effort in to make the necessary gains.
The Pier to Pier. What a race. Unless you are really pushing for a quick time, in which case, go hard early (need to be well trained for this strategy), my advice is slowly build the pace and work your way through the Zones. But you certainly don’t want to be quicker than half marathon pace until late in the race.
