Great work. Tuesday with the team (hopefully), Thursday with the Bimblers and Bewl on Sunday. Zone 3 is good there, it’s not a half marathon with a few extra miles on the end, because the trails, the heat and the hills make it much tougher so keeping the pace steady is key. Lots to look forward too though and you’re running great as well, which helps. Any problems let me know, but keep up the great work Ben.

A stretching routine you can do daily to help with your flexibility. 30 seconds for each stretch is plenty.
Maintaining your current 5k pace will get progressively more challenging as a session unfolds. So breaking it down in this nature should allow you to maintain that pace for the whole session.

The biggest mistake we can make with these recovery runs is running too fast. This will mean when our harder sessions come round we are still fatigued and not able to put enough effort in to make the necessary gains.
This is likely to be Bewl 15 as it’s the only 15 mile race I know of. Marathon pace is a good target here as the trails and likely warm conditions will slow you down a fraction, not to mention the hills late on.
