We don’t want to be long running every weekend, so it’s good to mix it up now and again, a parkrun is a great way of doing that. Tuesday would be a good opportunity to join the off road gang. A very good week all in all, with 90 pts up for grabs. Any problems let me know, but keep up the great work Ellie.

A stretching routine you can do daily to help with your flexibility. 30 seconds for each stretch is plenty.
So this is a S&C session created just for you. So we can tweak it to best suit your abilities and strength levels. So if there are still any exercises in there you find too challenging, let me know and I can update them.
If you have accurate heart rate data that is far and away the best guide for this run. Stay in Zone 2 if you can.

5 miles is a really tough distance to get right. Rest assured, this is tough. The first mile is so important, don’t go off too quick and you’ll set yourself up for a strong race. Pace should be right at the top of your Zone 5, 10k target. Towards the end you’ll be working in Zone 6 though from an RPE and heart rate perspective.
